Education Program

FESD Education Programs focus on integrating environmental awareness, climate-smart practices, and sustainable agriculture into learning for schools, youth, and communities. The organization establishes school gardens and food forests where students gain practical skills in tree planting, crop production, and nutrition. Through capacity-building initiatives, FESD trains young people in sustainable agriculture, climate adaptation, and environmental stewardship while encouraging leadership, innovation, and peer mentoring.

The programs also include interactive workshops and practical demonstrations on composting, soil conservation, and water management, enabling participants to apply their knowledge in real-life school and community projects. FESD further supports environmental clubs that lead tree planting, clean-up campaigns, and awareness activities, helping students understand climate change, biodiversity, and responsible resource use.

Through mentorship and peer learning, trained youth guide younger students and community members, promoting long-term adoption of sustainable practices. As a result, FESD’s education initiatives empower young people to become active environmental stewards, strengthen community knowledge on sustainability, and build capacity for climate-resilient agriculture and ecosystem management.
